Barcelona is the second largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia, which is a part of Spain. Mediterranean climate, with mild, humid winters and warm, dry summers and unique historical architecture made the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe. Like any other tourist city, it offers a wide range on non-stop facilities and services.
The place which never sleeps in every city regardless of its size and population.  Barcelona International Airport, also known as El Prat, is a major transport hub and fields flights from all over Europe and beyond. The airport is only 10 minutes away from city centre. There are cafes, at pre-security check, parking, luggage lockers at the Barcelona International Airport, that work non –stop.
Be aware thought that due to hot climate many public places close during day hottest hours for a break called “siesta” Cafés and restaurants are not exempt from this rule. Though a few eating places in Barcelona are still working 24 hours and offer pretty good deals for reasonable prices: tapas in bars (not too healthy nor cheap to substitute a full meal); international chains and selected restaurants who are flexible enough to cater for tourists all day long: Origen 99.9%, Udon, Vegetalia. In a buffet style canteen with large windows facing the Cathedral (near Sagrada Familia on the Carrer de Provenca across from the church, and next to the McDonald´s) one can get a dinner (unlimited snacks, main dishes, drinks, tea/coffee and deserts) for only 10.30 euro. This place accepts credit cards and it is open 24/7.
Except for certain seaside resorts, the schedules for meals are different in Barcelona Lunch time is from 13.30 to 16.00.; Dinner time is from 21.00 to 23.00. As for night clubs, some do not start to be animated until 3.00 in the morning. Some shops close for a break in the middle of the day from 14.00 to 16.00 or 17.00.
