Barcelona’s International Airport is the second biggest Airport in Spain. Its passenger traffic reached almost thirty three million passengers passing through its doors in 2007 and 352,489 flights were handled. Language in Barcelona serves many destinations including all points along the Costa Brava. Barcelona’s international airport is located just 13 KM South West of the city centre. It has 3 terminals: Terminal A (for foreign airline departures and international arrivals), terminal B (for Spanish airline departures and European Union arrivals) and terminal C (for Air Shuttle flights and General Aviation). Currently a fourth terminal is under construction and has to come into service in 2009.

Expo hotel – is another one, right next door to Barcelona Sants rail station. You can take the RENFE train from Language in Barcelona and you need to get off at Barcelona Sants station. After 2 minute walk you are in the hotel. The Expo hotel offers excellent access to both the city and Language in Barcelona. Other hotels close to Language in Barcelona are Hotel Ciutat del Prat, Tryp Language in Barcelona and some others.

How to reach Barcelona from the Airport? Barcelona is 13 km or 8 miles north-east of the airport. You can access by the C-246 highway - Autovia de Castelldefels – if you are drive the car. It will take just 20-30 minutes. If you go by taxi, find cars outside the Airport terminals. The airport station is connected with terminals by moving walkways. You can go by train operating from 06:13 - 23:4every 30 minutes. You will need about half an hour to reach the city center. Also the Aerobus service runs between 06:00 and 24:00 every fifteen minutes. Aerobus arrives Plaza Catalunya in 30 minutes.

The Barcelona International Airport -El Prat de Llobregat- is situated in the southwest of the Count City (Barcelona). After Madrid Barajas Barcelona airport is the second biggest one in Spain and first of Catalonia and the Mediterranean coast. Barcelona airport is the ninth with more passenger traffic of Europe. Terminal A gathers the majority of flights belonging to foreign airlines. Terminal B deals with national and foreign airlines integrated in the Oneworld and Star Alliance. It maintains commercial agreements with them, such as Iberia, Air Europa, Spanair, British Airways o Lufthansa. Terminal C manages the Iberia Air shuttle and Iberia Regional Flights.

Tourist can find information desks (tel: (934) 784 704 or 780 565) placed in Terminals A and B; there is also a hotel information point in Terminal B. Tourists will find Airport information desks throughout the airport (tel: (902) 404 704), at six locations in Terminals A and B

Despite being such tourist hot spot Barcelona Taxi offers a low-cost services and convenient way to get to the city centre. You will pay just around 25 euros and depending on traffic the journey takes around 25 - 30 minutes.

Other option is to try Aerobus (Shuttle bus service) that runs regularly between the airport and the city centre. You will pay 3.90 euros for a single ticket and in about 25 -30 minutes will be in Barcelona’s center. Or go to RENFE train from Barcelona airport to the city centre where you have to change for the metro system at either Barcelona Sants (Sants Estacio) or Passeig de Gracia stations. Ticket is just 2.60 euros. Journey will lasts for about 25 minutes. Or you can even find cheap car hire in Barcelona airport terminal B.
